Greeting and Welcome to the Macintosh Guide for new users.
This guide was created to introduce Macintosh computers to PC users and non computer users.  There is a powerpoint tour of the physical computer and a basic tour of the surface of the Mac.  This guide is being created for teachers in New Lenox School District 122, but others are welcome to use this guide.  In addition to the powerrpoint tour there is also a beginners guide for troubleshooting problems. I have also included a page of Macintosh links that are very helpful.  I hope that you find this website helpful for your basic Macintosh needs.

Tours of the Mac
Troubleshoooting a Mac

There is a lot of information about the Macintosh computer that can be included in this tour, but I have chosen to focus on two main areas that most users will use.  The Physical computer and the Desktop.  Knowing these two areas will be a wonderful start for any new user.

Theses self guided tours offer short audio clips on each slide.  To play the audio click on the "play" button at the bottom of the slide.  There are also additional notes at the bottom under each slide.

 The Physical Computer
The Macintosh Desktop
