Proposal
I will be creating a website that provides a Macintosh Guide for new staff members and a troubleshooting guide for the Technology Assistants in New Lenox School District 122.

My issue or question: The district I work for is undergoing major changes in the Technology Department.  Each building will have a full time Technology Assistant, where as last year there were three Technology Facilitators for seven buildings.  I would like to create this website to help in the training of the new employees and offer assistance to those who will be maintaining the computers.

Kind of learners: This project is geared for employees who are entering the school district and are unfamiliar with Macintosh Computers and the employees who are taking on the responsibility of maintaining the computers.

Progress

I have created two powerpoint presentations that focus on the physical computer and the Desktop of the Macintosh computer.  I have also created two troubleshooting sections that offer basic troubleshooting for everyone and specifice more technical troubleshooting for Technology Assistants.

Final Project

The final project offers two self-guided tours of the physical Macintosh computer and the Macintosh Desktop.  Audio and additional notes are included on the webpages.  The troubleshooting sections are divided into two categories.  The first section is basic troubleshooting that anyone can do.  The second section is a little more technical information that is more specific to Technology Assistants.
A list of resources for more Macintosh assistances has also been included on the major project homepage.
