There is a button on the front of the monitor of the iMac. Just
to the right of the CD slot is the power button.
If the machine does not start make sure the plug in the back is pushed in all of the way. The cables have a tendency to come loose. |

With the top of the iBook open look just above the keyboard there is
a button. Hold the button down. Some of the iBooks take a little
longer to start than others. You may have to push the button more
than once or hold the button a little longer.
If the iBook does not start use a pencil to push in the restart button on the left hand side of the machine. The button has a circle icon with a triangle in the middle of it. Once you have pushed in the reset button try turning the iBook on again. If the machine does not have restart button or if that does not work
remove the battery off the bottom of the iBook. Put the battery back
in and try to start the iBook again.

| If the CD does not open | Straighten a paperclip and stick it in the little hole located on the right hand side of the CD slot or tray. |

Locate the printer icon on the Desktop (the blue part of the screen)
that has a black line around it. This is the selected printer.
Double click on the icon to see which items need to be prinited or to see if there is a problem with the printer. If everything looks ok check to make sure a connection is being made
with the printer by go to the:
If it not visible restart the computer and the printer. Check the ethernet cable on the printer. You may need to switch cables or ports. If the printer is still not available select a different printer and contact the District Technicians. |

Click and hold on printer icon that is on the upper right hand side
of the menu at the top. The selected printer is checked.
To change printers highlight anyother printer that is available in the printer window. |

The speaker with no lines: mute The speaker with one line: lower the volume The speaker with three lines: raise the volume |
