This page has been created as a guide to help the 2nd grade students in New Lenox School District 122 complete the state report research project. This is not a complete list of resources, but the included information will provide a good starting place to look for information. The classroom teacher will provide each student will the research project information.

How do you work on a Research Project?
Based on the Super 3 Research Model

Before you begin your research project make a plan. Decide what information you will need
and where you will need to go find the information. Make a list materials that you will need. Look at the day the project is due and give yourself enough time to complete the project. Set due dates for yourself to complete different parts of the project. Do not wait until the day before the project is due!!!

Start working on your project.
Complete all sections of the report.
Make sure you write down all of the books and resources that you used to complete your project. Information about making a citation is available in the Other Resources column on this page.
Take your time and remember to be neat.

Once you have finished your project look back over your work and make sure you did not miss any parts. Check to make sure everything is spelled correctly.

Do not forget your name!!!

Practice your presentation!!
Stuffed animals make a great audience!
