Mission Statement

To encourage, promote and assist students and teachers so they can be efficient and discriminating users of ideas and information and to foster the reading habits and use of a library for lifelong learning.

Instructional Goals of the LRC

1) To ensure that each child acquires the information literacy skills necessary to become a self-reliant, lifelong learner.

2) To provide a rich literature-related program which will play a vital part in the development of lifelong relationships with libraries, books and reading.

Accelerated Reader

The goal of our Accelerated Reader program is to strengthen comprehension and vocabulary skills by reading books at the child's independent reading level.  Students can then take a test on the computer to see how well they understood the book.  Accelerated Reader books may be fiction or non-fiction.

Click below, on the books, to search for Accelerated Reader Quizzes online.
We have over 110,000 book quizzes available now.
**Quizzes may only be taken at school, during regular school hours.**
